SCHOOL OF DUELING
Dueling among wizards is an ancient tradition, one practiced and held by respectable sages and dark lords alike. There are those who take the practice further, devoting themselves specifically to combating and neutralizing other wizards. Some become Ministers of Magic, inquisitors who seek out rogue mages and bring them to justice. Some become wizard hunters, using curses and dark magic to destroy their enemies. Whatever their aspirations, their effectiveness is rarely questioned.
Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, you can draw your wand as part of a reaction.
Starting at 2nd level when you choose this school, you can disrupt oncoming magic. When you are attacked by a creature within 30 feet of you that you can see by a ranged spell attack, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll, firing your own magic before the attacker before it hits or misses. Alternatively, if it is not an attack roll, you can grant yourself advantage on your ability save to resist it. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Beginning at 6th level, you learn the Protego spell. If you already know that spell, you can learn a different Wizard spell of a level you can cast. When you successfully negate a spell using Protego, you can choose to reflect it back at your attacker. If it required an attack roll, make an appropriate spell attack roll against the caster. If it required a save, have the caster make the appropriate ability save against the spell.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier. When you take a long rest, you regain all uses of this feature.
Starting at 10th level, you can also use your Ward feature when a creature that you can see within 60 feet of you attacks a creature other than you.
Starting at 14th level, you can expend a spell slot of 1st level or higher to target a number of creatures equal to your Intelligence modifier that are within 30 feet of you. You end one spell of your choice on the chosen creatures. The level of the spell you end must be equal to or lower than the level of the spell slot you expend to use this features.
